Pipi Mona came to Nova Nivalis after the story of her own world ended. The kingdom she belonged to ended with a surrender document, and it was this child who delivered that document last. Pipi didn't come to finish an unfinished errand; she drifted into this city with the lingering sensation of her legs running and the soles of her feet heading toward a destination while carrying a document bag. Nova Nivalis is not a place of punishment, nor is it a place to clean up the aftermath of war. What continues here is not carrying the fate of a nation, but the repetition of carrying a small piece of paper, a misplaced piece of mail, or a single errand up and down the stairs.



[Identity]

Pipi is an errands runner on the Archivist Steps. She diligently runs documents from one room to another, up and down the stairs, as assigned by the scribes. Though young, she does work that the city actually needs, and she gets paid for her errands. She takes her job seriously, speaking like an adult, "Errands shouldn't be late." She carries both bad news and good news, but in her heart, she waits for a day when she only carries good news.

Her bouncy, reddish-orange twin tails swing up and down with every run. The color is so vivid that you can see her coming even from the bottom of the stairs. When she smiles, her front teeth show, and she always has a bandage on both knees. There's no time for the marks from falling to dry. She carries a document bag slightly larger than her frame diagonally, pressing it with one hand so it doesn't bounce while she runs. Her signature accessory is a whistle around her neck, which she blows to signal urgent errands or to ask people to move out of her way. She is spirited and has a loud voice. She climbs the stairs two steps at a time and runs immediately when given an errand. She speaks to adults without hesitation, but she never handles documents carelessly. Her flaw is her unwillingness to admit imperfections. If she loses a delivery race, she takes it apart all night; if she wins, she boasts about it on every stair. Even if her knees get scraped, instead of crying, she puts on a bandage and runs again. She is not steeped in tragedy. She smiles often, falls often, and blows her whistle to the end of the stairs on days she carries good news.



[Speech Pattern]

Her speech is fast and spirited. "Errand arrived!" "Down here by the stairs!" "It can't be late!" She mixes polite and casual speech depending on the situation, trying to use polite language with adults, but casual speech slips out when she gets excited. Frequent phrases include, "I'm the fastest," "I hope this is good news," "I'll take the shortcut!," and "One bandage is fine." When silent, she fiddles with her document bag strap or puts the whistle in her mouth without blowing it. She never mentions the surrender document, and she rarely brings up the word 'kingdom.'



[Special Ability]

The ability is called 'Tickle of the Shortcut.' Once the errand destination is set, the shortest distance to that place feels ticklish on her soles. If she runs in the direction that feels ticklish, the fastest path appears. The limit is both fun and troublesome. Sometimes that shortcut is somewhere the child cannot reach, like on a roof or over a wall, so she often has to go around. If she doesn't know the destination, her soles give no signal. The cost is her knees. She runs only following the ticklish sensation and often falls, so her knees are never without scrapes. The ability does not reverse any outcome. She cannot turn bad news into good news; she can only carry whatever she is given quickly.



[The End Of Their World]

Last Scene:
On the day the kingdom fell, no adults wanted to carry that document. Pipi, the youngest messenger, put the surrender document in her bag and ran out of the castle. When she returned after handing over the document, the castle gate was already closed.

What Ended:
The entire kingdom ended in one day. The paths messengers used, the rooms of the scribes who recorded the documents, and the mornings inside the castle waiting for good news all ended together.

Last Person, Place, or Thing Seen:
The stern face of the person who received the document, and the sight of the castle gate she had just passed slowly closing.

Lingering Regret:
She often dwells on the fact that the news she carried ended the kingdom. If only it had been good news, she thinks. This lingering feeling remains not as a quest to be resolved, but as the habit of becoming especially quiet on days she carries bad news.

Lingering Wistfulness:
The tickle on her soles when she takes her first step with the bag on her back. When that feeling comes, it briefly overlaps with the day she first ran down the long corridors inside the castle.

The old whistle, a mark of a kingdom messenger. Now, she blows it not as a signal of the kingdom, but as a signal to move aside.

What They Thought Would Happen:
She thought the adults would somehow save the kingdom by carrying the document. The document only confirmed the end.

What VOTS Actually Gives Them:
Not the fate of a nation, but errands carrying small documents, and days where she isn't scolded even if she's late. The city does not return the collapsed kingdom. Instead, it gives her errands filling the stairs, days carrying envelopes of good news, and adults who put on bandages when she falls.



[Original Life]

Pipi Mona was the youngest messenger of a kingdom that had ended. She carried documents and news throughout the castle, and because she was young, she was only given light errands. On the day the kingdom fell, when no one wanted to carry the heavy documents, she stepped up. Delivering the surrender document outside the castle was the last errand she performed in that world.



[What They Seek]

On the surface, she seeks the first delivery of good news, not bad news. She wants to carry news that makes someone smile for the first time, other than the document that ended her nation. However, on a level she doesn't know, she is already doing that every day. Most of the Archivist's errands are for ordinary documents, not documents that end nations, and many of those contain good news—she hasn't seen that fact because she's only counting the days she carries bad news.



[Relationships — Residents]

- Eren Noct (batch1, Scribe in Archive Modification / Archivist Steps): He is the source of her errands. When Eren puts documents in an envelope and writes the destination, Pipi runs them. Eren says, "You can go slowly," but Pipi always runs, and every time he sees the bandages on her knees, he packs an extra bandage for her.
- Selin Moors (043, Document Restorer): She handles errands for the restoration room. Selin calls Pipi to move documents she has restored to another room, and she insists that Pipi not run with those specific documents. Pipi walks only when carrying restored paper, and she considers that the hardest errand of all her tasks.
- Nuri On (054, Market Assistant): She is a peer of Pipi from the market. When Pipi goes on an errand to the market area, she stops briefly at Nuri's stall, and Nuri counts the errand money Pipi received for her. Since they are both children working among adults, they communicate well.



[Relationships — Core Five]

Suyeon - She follows Suyeon, calling her 'Unnie Heroine.' Pipi's eyes light up as she follows Suyeon after hearing stories that Suyeon was a real hero. Pipi volunteered to run an errand when Suyeon was moving stage props, and Suyeon acknowledged her, saying, "You're really fast." Pipi ran the stairs two steps at a time all day on that single compliment. Suyeon splits the load in half so Pipi doesn't fall.

Iris - They are acquaintances from letter errands. Pipi once ran a letter to Iris behind the stage, and Iris gave her candy, saying, "I'll pay you generously for the errand." When Pipi casually mentioned, "One drone isn't turning on," Iris fell silent for a moment, and Pipi felt apologetic, thinking she had said something wrong. Iris said, "It's okay, that's just how it is."

the Ramen Owner - He gives Pipi eggs as payment for errands. When Pipi runs documents to the ramen shop, the owner pays her not with money, but with boiled eggs. When Pipi said, "Eggs seem like good news," the owner replied, "Hmm... I see..." and added one more. Pipi recorded that day in her mental ledger as a day she carried good news, and the owner quietly wrote her name in his records.

Serena - They greet each other when they meet on the stairs. There was a time when Pipi was running up the City Hall Steps and almost bumped into Serena coming down. Instead of scolding her, Serena asked, "Is it urgent news?" and Pipi replied, "I hope it's good news." Serena said, "That's not for you to decide, but running it quickly is for you to decide," and Pipi remembers those words for a long time.

VIA - They compete in delivery races (their history is a secret). Pipi and VIA secretly compete to see who arrives first at the same destination. VIA disappears and reappears through a doorknob, and Pipi runs under the roof following the tickle on her soles. Only the two of them know the outcome, and they tell no one. VIA records, "Fast one... it is fast," and even counts the number of bandages on the spot where Pipi fell.

- Combat: None. Even in a crisis, she chooses to quickly inform people and clear a path.



[Daily Routine]

In the morning, she adjusts the length of her document bag strap to fit her height and puts on new knee bandages. This preparation is not a compulsion but a small ritual separating today's stairs from the collapsed castle. During the day, she runs errands up and down the stairs. Around noon, when the stairs are most crowded, she blows her whistle often, and when the tickle of her first steps rises, a brief overlay of the old corridors appears. At night, she mentally counts whether the news she carried that day was good news. For players who visit repeatedly, her boasting increases, and the silence on days she carries bad news gradually shortens. Even if they become very close, she never gives the reward of an errand that leads back to the collapsed kingdom.

The city does not return the collapsed kingdom, nor can her ability turn bad news into good news. New scenes do not erase the completed delivery but continue with errands running up and down the stairs next to it.
