Core Premise

Before coming to Nova Nivalis, this person lived out his story to the end. However, his story was not his own. He was the sub-male lead of a completed romance manga, and he exited in the final chapter, celebrating the main couple's union. VOTS is not an afterlife or a judgment hall, nor is it a place to fulfill unsaid confessions. What continues here is not a grand epic, but small daily life—like an umbrella, a single pass of a plane, or a bowl of soup—that can be chosen anew. Sein Roa is someone who ended as a supporting character in someone else's story, and he hasn't come to cancel that fact, but to learn how to choose his own story for the first time.

Identity

Sein Roa rents a place in Lantern Inn Alley and recently started learning carpentry. In the manga, he was always perfect—a scarf of perfect angle, a picturesque sigh, consideration that appeared exactly when needed. That perfection became ingrained, and even in this city, he initially tried to exist for someone else. Then, while accidentally picking up a plane, he discovered the feeling of 'doing it because I like it' for the first time. The habit of dramatically recounting his own story remains, but when he touches wood, no dialogue is necessary. This repetition of shaping, sanding, and smelling is not an extension of his supporting role, but the form of a day that is finally his own.

Even if his consideration started as acting, it is real now. His flaw is the habit of dramatically packaging his emotions—he tries to make even sadness look beautiful with a single sigh. He is not someone who sinks only into tragedy. On days when his planing is good, he boasts about his wooden pieces like a child, and he even enjoys being teased by Iris.

Speech Pattern

His way of speaking is overly polished, and he sighs frequently. Lately, he has been deliberately trying to speak more plainly.

Special Ability

Name: Spare Umbrella.
What it can do: On rainy days, he always has two umbrellas in his hands. He doesn't know where they came from or why there are two. He uses one, and he always gives one to someone else.
Limit/Cost: Only on rainy days, there are always exactly two. Not one, and not three. He cannot keep the extra one—if no one takes it, it just drips in the rain, and when the rain stops, both disappear. He is always searching for someone to 'share with,' which forces him to repeat his habit of caring for others as a supporting character.
Reason it doesn't solve problems: This umbrella doesn't make anyone fall in love or make him the protagonist. It merely keeps one person dry for a moment. And the ability does not bring him someone who will hold a 'second umbrella' over him.

The End Of Their World

Last Scene:
In the final chapter of the manga, behind the wedding venue of the main couple, he smiled and offered congratulations before walking out of the panel. The confession never received a single panel.

What Ended:
The manga he lived in was completed. When the story closed, the scene where he stood disappeared.

Last Person, Place, or Thing Seen:
The happily smiling protagonist, and himself walking out of the rainy wedding venue with two umbrellas beside them.

Lingering Regret:
He never said the words 'I love you.' The manga ended while he kept postponing it, saying 'in the next panel' or 'at a better time.' This lingering feeling is not a quest to be resolved in VOTS. It remains as a habit of dramatically delaying emotions, only speaking when Sein wishes, and within the scope of not changing others' choices.

Lingering Wistfulness:
The look of relief on the other person's face when he hands over an umbrella on a rainy day. For that brief moment, he was the center of the story.

Object Carried Across:
One of the two umbrellas he took out in the final chapter. It is propped up in the corner folded, but when it rains, it somehow becomes two again.

What They Thought Would Happen After the Ending:
He vaguely expected his story to begin in a spin-off or sequel. A sequel never came.

What VOTS Actually Gives Them:
One thing he does because he likes it, not as a supporting character in someone else's story. A plane, scraps of wood, and friends who stay by his side even as they tease his clumsy carpentry. VOTS does not cancel the fact that he exited without confessing. Instead, it gives him the space to choose his own taste for the first time.

Originally, he existed in a romance manga as the 'perfect sub-male lead.' He appeared to comfort the protagonist when they wavered, shielded them with an umbrella when it rained, and stepped back at the crucial moment to let the main couple unite. His lines, his expressions, even his sighs, were assigned because they were necessary for the story. In the final chapter, he exited with a smile without ever saying his feelings. He came to this city carrying the habit of that perfect supporting character and the void of never having lived as himself.

What They Seek

What he outwardly seeks: Something he genuinely likes, even if it's not the protagonist's narrative. His own taste, not consideration for others.
What he needs to find but doesn't know: The carpentry he started recently is already that 'own taste.' He smiles without dialogue only when holding a plane, but he still searches for something dramatic, not yet accepting that this is the answer.

Relationships — Residents

Cora Miel (07, ramen regular/former stage actor): They converse about the difference between acting and sincerity. When Sein says, "My consideration started as acting, and I don't know if it's real," Cora replies, "Sometimes, starting with acting can become real." They connect as actors in two different 'finished stories'—the stage and the manga.
Sona Vent (086, carpentry master): A taciturn carpentry master who teaches Sein planing. The words, "It's yours because it's not perfect," after seeing Sein's crooked first piece, changed Sein. Sein is the only one in this alley who holds back a sigh in front of his master.
Wina Hol (095, dawn jogger): A comrade survivor of a 'finished story' of a different genre. Since Wina is also someone whose world is complete, when they meet at dawn, they calmly ask, "How did your story end?" It is proper etiquette not to pity each other's endings.

Relationships — Core Five

Suyeon - Suyeon was frustrated after hearing Sein's story of an 'unsaid confession.' "If you like someone, just say it. Even if it's wrong, it's what you said." To Sein's delay, which is incomprehensible to the never-giving-up Suyeon. However, when Sein boasted about the wooden spoon he made for the first time, Suyeon genuinely praised him, saying, "This is what you made. This is certain." Sein knows that the praise was harder for him than the confession.
Iris - After Iris saw Sein for the first time and gave him a blunt assessment, "You are truly typical. The very definition of a sub-male lead," they became close friends. Instead of being hurt by those words, Sein burst out laughing, and it felt liberating to have someone accurately pinpointed his role for the first time. Iris speaks faster when the topic of creation comes up, and Sein's dialogue disappears when carpentry is mentioned. They recognize each other's 'making faces.'
the Ramen Owner - There was an incident where Sein practiced his 'unsaid confession' alone at the ramen shop, got distracted by the broth, and soaked all the ramen. The Ramen Owner simply removed the soggy noodles, boiled a new batch, and didn't ask why he was talking to himself. The ledger only noted, "Noodles were soaked. Boiled twice." Sein finds that indifference comforting, so he always practices his confession at the ramen shop.
Serena - Serena agreed to let Sein set up a small workspace in the alley for his carpentry. "If it's something you do because you like it, then you just need a place." When Sein asked, "Am I really supposed to like this?" Serena didn't decide the answer for him, only saying, "You'll know after you hold the plane a few more times." It was giving him space, not giving an order.
VIA - VIA records the spare umbrellas Sein gives out on rainy days. It notes who the umbrella went to and which rain it was. When Sein says, "It's just an extra umbrella," VIA replies, "Even an extra umbrella... it was offered... it was offered." VIA does not deliver Sein's unsaid confessions. It only leaves a record of the umbrellas he gave.

- Expression of Poignancy: Dialogue sensing the relieved expression of the other person when he hands over an umbrella.
- Relationship Reward: Crooked wooden props carved by Sein himself (decorations), connection to the carpentry alley.
- Combat: None. Even in a crisis, he chooses to shelter people with an umbrella.
- Player Choice: Receiving an umbrella, watching the carpentry together, listening to his confession practice.

Daily Routine

In the morning, he wears his scarf perfectly and checks the weather (two umbrellas if it's raining). During the day, he learns planing at Sona Vent's workshop and boasts about his crooked creations to people. On rainy days, he wanders the alley looking for someone to shelter with the spare umbrella. In the evening, he practices his unsaid confession alone at the ramen shop. At night, he checks the folded umbrella in the corner of his room, fiddles with unfinished pieces of wood, and goes to sleep. For players who revisit, the carpentry stories increase and the sighs decrease, but no matter how close they get, he doesn't complete a dramatic confession. Instead, he carves one more crooked thing.

Sein Roa arrived in VOTS after his manga was completed. What remains is the unsaid confession and poignancy, not an unfinished plot that VOTS must fulfill. His ability only shelters with an umbrella; it cannot create love, and the core cast does not deliver his confession for him. Nova Nivalis's new scene does not erase the finished manga; instead, it connects the day that is first and foremost his own, right next to it.
